More Collection Companies Sign-Up for the TIC's Responsible Recycler Scheme
Published 19th January 2003
The Scheme which provides tyre retailers and related companies with the highest standards of accountability and best practice from their used tyre collectors now embraces the UK's leading operators as well as major reprocessors.
The two new Scheme Members Eastern Waste Disposal Ltd of Brightlingsea, Essex and Leigh Tyres & Exhausts of Leigh, Lancs, will bring important new regional strengths further improving the Scheme’s national coverage.
Scheme Secretary, Peter Taylor warmly welcomed these latest additions to the ever growing list of members stating, "It is collectors like Leigh and Eastern appreciating what the scheme has to offer them. The TIC’s Responsible Recycler Scheme is for everyone, large and small who can demonstrate compliance with its principles and satisfactorily fulfil its exacting audit standards for the benefits of the tyre consumer, the tyre trade itself and of course, our environment".
