Timely new member for TyreSafe
Published 14th December 2011
East Yorkshire winter tyre specialist Tyremen is the latest retailer to join the growing ranks of new TyreSafe members.
Tyremen will support TyreSafe’s many campaigns but as a winter tyre specialist, it will be particularly interested in TyreSafe’s endorsement of the safety benefits of fitting winter weather tyres.
Stuart Jackson, chairman, TyreSafe, said: “It’s great news to have Tyremen on board, particularly because of its expertise and understanding of winter tyres. TyreSafe strongly believes that all motorists should consider fitting these types of tyres during the winter months, as they have been specifically designed to cope with cold and damp conditions, as well as more extreme weather such as snow and ice.”
Tyreman was established in 1977 and stocks thousands of tyres at its 25,000 sq ft premises. Although based in Hull, it also supplies customers nationwide via its website www.tyremen.co.uk and sells more than just winter tyres, including many of the leading brands, plus alloys and van wheels.
Phil Carlin, director, Tyremen, said: “We are very proud to be TyreSafe members and look forward to working closely with the organisation as they educate the motoring public about the importance of proper tyre maintenance.
“Of course, we have particular knowledge of winter tyres, which we are more than happy to share with TyreSafe. We will do anything we can to work closely with them to help make our roads a safer place.”
