TIC Offers Incentive to Join Reponsible Recycler Scheme
Published 19th February 2004
The TIC® Responsible Recycler Scheme, that has endorsement of all the major tyre manufacturers and retailers, has made substantial progress since its inception in late 2000. The offer of the first year's audit fee free of cost positions this beacon scheme at the heart of the UK tyre industry's recovery and reprocessing obligation.
John Dorken, BRMA director, expressed his confidence in the progress of the scheme over just a few short years and said: "This unique and very effective scheme has done much to raise the status and influence of all those responsible operators in Britain's tyre recovery and reprocessing industries. The BRMA is delighted to do what it can to encourage universal best practice. Those who can join the scheme should do so".
Scheme secretary Peter Taylor added, "The free first year's audit offer means that new members accepted into the scheme this year only pay the annual membership fee of £150.00 plus VAT and will save on the initial audit charges of up to £1,500.00. This is a very exceptional offer made possible by the generosity of BRMA members. The intention is to make membership accessible to all those who have not yet joined but have the good name and credentials to now do so".
