TyreSafe chairman, Stuart Jackson, and vice-chairman, Guy Frobisher, recently collected the organisation’s prestigious Prince Michael International Road Safety Award.

In front of more than 300 road safety professionals, TyreSafe was formally recognised for its achievements in raising awareness about the dangers associated with driving on defective and worn tyres.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent praised the efforts made by the award winners. “Congratulations to all the winners. You have been singled out for your dedication to road safety and I hope you will continue as you have begun.”

Since 1987 the Prince Michael Awards have given public recognition to the most outstanding examples of road safety initiatives. TyreSafe received their award within the road users category which recognises education and enforcement programmes that change the behaviour of road users for improved safety.

Commenting on the award, TyreSafe chairman Stuart Jackson said, “It’s a fantastic honour to have been awarded this distinguished accolade and is a great demonstration of what can be achieved when an industry rallies together.”
