Final call for entries for TyreSafe Awards

Tyre retailers, manufacturers, car companies and any other organisation with an involvement in tyre safety are being encouraged to beat the 5th of November deadline and submit their entry into this year's TyreSafe awards as soon as possible.

Tyre retailers, manufacturers, car companies and any other organisation with an involvement in tyre safety are being encouraged to beat the 5th of November deadline and submit their entry into this year’s TyreSafe awards as soon as possible.

This year, entries are being invited into seven different categories covering the main types of organisations which support the group’s activities such as tyre and car manufacturers, emergency services as well as community groups, local councils and road safety partnerships.

In addition to the seven open categories, TyreSafe will also present its outstanding achievement award, awarded to the Highways Agency in 2013, to the organisation demonstrating the most exceptional contribution to raising awareness about the dangers associated with illegal and defective tyres.

“There have been some fantastic tyre safety initiatives carried out by our supporters throughout the year and the awards ceremony is a great way to celebrate these achievements,” comments Stuart Jackson, chairman, TyreSafe. “With more people than ever before taking part in Tyre Safety Month, we expect the standard of entries to be very high, but the only way to guarantee your place in the running is to submit your entry before the deadline.”

Through its campaigning and awareness activities, TyreSafe and its partners have helped reduce the number of tyre related casualties in the UK by 38 per cent since its inception in 2006.

Entries into the 2014 TyreSafe Awards must be submitted by Friday 5th November with the ceremony taking place at St Johns Hotel, Solihull, on Friday 28th November.
