TyreSafe Awards open for entries

The TyreSafe Awards are now open for entries. The awards throw a spotlight on those national and local organisations and individuals who have made a contribution to raising awareness about tyre safety issues at a gala dinner which follows the TyreSafe Briefing.

The TyreSafe Briefing and Awards dinner take place on Thursday 18 July 2019 at St George’s Park, in Burton upon Trent, and home of the National Football Centre.

Entering the TyreSafe awards is free and straightforward via the TyreSafe website, and follows the same criteria as last year. The categories for 2019 comprise:

Highly-commended and the outstanding achievement award will also be presented at the judges’ discretion. The closing date for entries is Friday 26 April 2019.

Stuart Jackson, Chairman of TyreSafe, said: “The Awards are TyreSafe’s leading event of the year and celebrate and promote the outstanding work that goes on across the UK to educate the driving public about tyre safety. We are always hugely inspired and encouraged by the endeavours of both large and small organisations who use creative campaigns and activities to raise the level of awareness of tyre safety with their customers and stakeholders. We would encourage anyone who has participated in any kind of tyre safety activity, large or small, to forward an entry.”

The Briefing is a unique opportunity to network with professionals from the road safety, industry and emergency service communities. For the first time there will be a tyre-safety technology focus, as well as the usual high-calibre expert speakers presenting a programme on national tyre safety concerns and solutions.  It will also see the launch of TyreSafe’s new campaign materials for Tyre Safety Month in October, highlighting the importance of tyre safety.

There is no fee to attend the Briefing and all road safety stakeholders are welcomed with a networking lunch. However, only pre-registered guests will be admitted as spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations can be made using the online booking form at tyresafe.org.

Bookings for the dinner are now open, and will cost £51 for dinner only, or £151 with overnight accommodation and can be made through a form in the awards section here.

Any questions about award entries or the Briefing can be addressed to theteam@tyresafe.org
