TyreSafe launches all-new tyresafe.org website as part of 10th anniversary year activities
TyreSafe has made accessing essential tyre safety information and guidance easier and more rewarding with the complete rebuild and relaunch of www.tyresafe.org. Acting as the UK’s primary source of tyre safety materials and advice, the new website features enhanced functionality and responsiveness to meet the needs of the growing number of browsers using mobile devices while also maintaining its desktop usability.
The relaunch of TyreSafe is one of the many activities which will mark the organisation’s 10th year of campaigning to increase awareness of the dangers of defective and illegal tyres.
“TyreSafe.org has become the essential resource on tyre safety for the UK’s motorists and road safety stakeholders,” said Stuart Jackson, TyreSafe chairman. “However, the online world has moved on since we first launched the site and to meet today’s needs a complete redesign was needed and perfectly timed to coincide with TyreSafe’s 10th anniversary year.
“Drivers can now find the guidance they need on how to properly maintain their tyres more easily on mobile devices and in a format which better suits their needs. Equally, those seeking TyreSafe’s extensive library of resources will find everything they need to support their campaigns. ”
TyreSafe includes tyre safety advice which applies to all vehicles as well as specific information for targeted groups. Images and animations support the descriptions of how to carry out essential routine maintenance checks, while car owners can use the site’s popular air pressure checker to look up the recommended inflation level for their vehicle. Along with the recently-launched ‘Home safely on safe tyres’ campaign for mums-to-be, specific resources are also available for car fleet operators, and young drivers, as well as motorbike, scooter, truck, caravan and van users.
Downloadable leaflets and resources to inform the driver and support tyre safety campaigns can be found throughout the site, including all of the previous Tyre Safety Month materials.
