TyreSafe announces international partnership with the Road Ready Foundation

TyreSafe has announced a new international partnership with the Road Ready Foundation, a US-based non-profit organisation dedicated to improving road safety through tyre safety education and crash prevention awareness.

Based in Marietta, Georgia, the Road Ready Foundation was established after the Bebiak family tragically lost their 19-year-old son, Jackson, in a crash caused by worn tyres. Since then, the organisation has worked to educate drivers of all ages about the importance of tyre maintenance, helping to prevent avoidable crashes through practical education and community engagement.

The new partnership marks an important step in TyreSafe’s commitment to sharing best practice and working with like-minded organisations around the world to promote tyre safety as a vital component of road safety.

Although operating on opposite sides of the Atlantic, both organisations share a common mission: encouraging drivers to understand the importance of regular tyre maintenance and providing practical advice that helps keep vehicles safe and roadworthy.

The Road Ready Foundation delivers a range of educational initiatives, including tyre maintenance training, tread depth awareness campaigns and youth outreach programmes such as Tyres for Teens, helping new drivers develop safe vehicle maintenance habits from the outset. The charity also works alongside driver education providers, law enforcement agencies and local communities to increase awareness of tyre safety.

By working together, TyreSafe and the Road Ready Foundation will share knowledge, campaign ideas and educational resources, while exploring opportunities to support each other’s initiatives and strengthen global awareness of tyre safety.

Alex Bebiak, Founder & Chairman of the Road Ready Foundation, said, “Tyre safety is a universal issue that knows no borders. Whether you’re driving in the UK or the United States, the condition of your tyres can make the difference between avoiding a collision and becoming part of one. We’re proud to partner with TyreSafe because we share the same belief that education saves lives. By working together and learning from one another, we can help more drivers understand that tyre safety is one of the simplest and most effective ways to prevent crashes.”

Stuart Lovatt, Chair of TyreSafe, said, “This partnership reflects the growing recognition that tyre safety is a global road safety issue. While our organisations operate in different countries, our objectives are remarkably similar: helping road users understand the importance of maintaining safe, roadworthy tyres and empowering them with the knowledge to make informed decisions. We’re excited to work alongside the Road Ready Foundation to share best practice, strengthen our educational programmes and extend the reach of tyre safety messages internationally.”

The partnership forms part of TyreSafe’s wider strategy to collaborate with organisations that share its vision of reducing tyre-related incidents through education, engagement and evidence-based road safety initiatives.

As both organisations continue to develop their respective programmes, the partnership will create opportunities to exchange knowledge, promote innovation and reinforce the message that regular tyre checks are a simple step every road user can take to help make roads safer.
