TyreSafe partners with DVSA Earned Recognition scheme to demonstrate commitment to best practice

TyreSafe partners with DVSA

TyreSafe is delighted to be working with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency’s (DVSA) Earned Recognition scheme, reinforcing its commitment to the highest standards of compliance, governance and vehicle safety.

The DVSA Earned Recognition scheme is a voluntary programme that recognises operators who can demonstrate consistently high standards of compliance through the use of robust systems and performance monitoring. Members of the scheme work in partnership with the DVSA to promote best practice and improve safety standards across the commercial vehicle sector.

By supporting the scheme, TyreSafe further strengthens its work with fleet operators, commercial vehicle organisations and industry partners, with their shared goals of improving vehicle safety and reducing risk on the UK’s roads.

The announcement reflects the close alignment between TyreSafe’s mission to promote safer tyres and safer vehicles, and the DVSA’s commitment to raising standards across the transport industry through collaboration, transparency and continuous improvement.

Philip Breen, Earned Recognition National Account Manager at the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, said:

“The DVSA Earned Recognition scheme is built on partnership and trust, recognising organisations that are committed to maintaining high standards and sharing best practice across the industry. We’re pleased to welcome TyreSafe’s support of the scheme and look forward to working together to support operators in understanding the important role that tyre maintenance plays in vehicle safety, compliance and roadworthiness.”

Stuart Lovatt, Chair of TyreSafe, said:

“Supporting the DVSA Earned Recognition scheme is an important step for TyreSafe and reflects our ongoing commitment to the commercial vehicle sector with practical, evidence-based tyre safety guidance. Safe tyres are fundamental to safe, compliant vehicles, and by working more closely with the DVSA and Earned Recognition operators, we can help reinforce the importance of regular tyre maintenance as part of wider vehicle safety and compliance.”

TyreSafe continues to work with organisations across the transport, enforcement and road safety sectors to promote the simple checks that help keep vehicles safe and roadworthy. Through its involvement with the DVSA Earned Recognition scheme, TyreSafe will support operators with the latest tyre safety advice, educational resources and campaigns to help reduce tyre-related incidents and improve compliance across commercial fleets.
