A tyre which is more fuel efficient helps you to reduce your driving costs and CO2 emissions.
Tyres will be ranked in one of seven fuel efficiency categories on the new labels. Category A is the most efficient and means you will use the least amount of fuel for your journey. Category G is the least fuel efficient.
Choosing A-rated tyres over G-rated tyres could reduce your fuel consumption by 7.5%*

It is important to remember that correct tyre inflation is essential for maximum fuel efficiency. A test from one TyreSafe member found that if tyres are under-inflated by 20 per cent, three per cent more fuel is used.
