Working collaboratively to deliver education, training and expert guidance to road users and businesses
TyreSafe is proud to announce a new partnership with Tyretalk, an independent road safety initiative led by performance driver and safety advocate Ryan Cobley, to further empower road users and businesses with the knowledge they need to make safer, smarter choices when it comes to tyres.
Tyretalk brings together motorsport experience, road policing insight, and a deeply personal commitment to vehicle safety, making it a natural fit with TyreSafe’s mission to reduce tyre-related incidents on UK roads. Through workshops, talks, and educational content, Tyretalk makes the science behind tyre performance, grip, and control both accessible and actionable — especially for audiences who may not have engaged with traditional road safety messaging.

Founder of Tyretalk, Ryan Cobley, has spent over 15 years in motorsport as a professional driver and instructor, but it was his time as a Special Constable – attending serious and fatal collisions – that drove home the life-saving importance of tyre awareness. His work now focuses on making complex vehicle dynamics understandable for all drivers, from fleet managers to new motorists.
“Tyre safety isn’t just a technical issue – it’s a human one,” said Ryan. “I’ve seen first-hand how a lack of understanding around grip, braking, and tyre condition can have tragic consequences. This partnership with TyreSafe helps amplify the message that tyre safety is road safety.”
The partnership will support shared campaigns, public education initiatives, and attendance at community events, in collaboration with other TyreSafe partners, to help reinforce the message that tyres are not just a detail, but a critical part of every road safety conversation.
