Campaign activity
There are several important TyreSafe campaigns coming up, with supporter resources already available to help organisations plan their involvement.
Young Driver Campaign – launches 1st September
TyreSafe’s flagship Young Driver Campaign returns on 1st September, with a focus on the potentially serious consequences of driving on unsafe or illegal tyres.
The campaign highlights the fact that two illegal tyres could result in six penalty points – enough to have a new driver’s licence revoked automatically within their first two years of driving.
The campaign aligns with the NPCC’s “Operation Spotlight”, which runs from 22 September to 5 October and for the second year running we have been granted THINK! co-branding from the Department for Transport.
The full campaign toolkit is now available in the Resources area of the TyreSafe website, including video, posters, social media assets and an implementation guide.
Please note that all campaign materials are under embargo and must not be published or shared externally before 1 September 2026.
Tyre Safety Month – launches 1st October
Tyre Safety Month 2026 will launch on 1st October under the theme:
Act Before You REact
The campaign challenges motorists to move from reaction to prevention, encouraging them to take simple preventative steps before something goes wrong.
The four weekly themes will cover braking and stopping distances, driver confidence, near misses and the importance of turning a scare into a safety check.
The core ACT message will run throughout:
- A – Air Pressure
- C – Condition
- T – Tread
The full supporter toolkit is already available, including campaign branding, social media assets, videos, posters, press materials, animations and an implementation guide.
Please note that all Tyre Safety Month campaign materials are under embargo until 1st October 2026.
We’d encourage all supporters to start planning now how you can use the materials across your own channels, networks, workplaces, customer communications and community activity.
