We’re proud to be working alongside DVSA, RED Driving Training, MSA GB, Institute of Master Tutors of Driving, Intelligent Instructor and other partners committed to improving young driver safety.

TyreSafe Launches First-Ever Equine Tyre Safety Campaign
TyreSafe, in partnership with The British Horse Society and The Pony Club, has launched a landmark campaign urging horse owners to make tyre checks part of animal care. Research shows tyre age and condition are major risks for horseboxes and trailers. With a 16% rise in towing-related incidents and horseboxes accounting for 1 in 5 cases, this campaign delivers essential resources to raise awareness.
TyreSafe Supports RoadPeace for National Road Victim Month
During August, TyreSafe joined RoadPeace to honour those affected by road crashes and call for action to prevent tyre-related tragedies. Latest figures show 190 people were killed or seriously injured in 2023 in tyre-related incidents—a 29% rise year-on-year. Tyre checks can save lives.
TyreSafe has been recognised by the Institute of Master Tutors of Driving for outstanding contributions to road safety, particularly in educating new and young drivers. This award reflects TyreSafe’s ongoing work embedding tyre safety in driver training through its simple ACT message: Air pressure, Condition, Tread.
TyreSafe has partnered with the Pamoja Road Safety Initiative (PRSI) to raise tyre safety awareness across Kenya. PRSI will integrate TyreSafe’s ACT message into national campaigns and community programmes—bringing proven tyre safety education to a new audience.
A new partnership with Bikeability will teach young cyclists the importance of tyre care. TyreSafe has launched an online resource for children and parents, promoting regular checks to build habits that last a lifetime.
TyreSafe is proud to welcome Somerset Council as a new local authority partner. This partnership will amplify tyre safety messages across the county through events, campaigns, and community engagement.
Tyretalk, led by performance driver and former Special Constable Ryan Cobley, joins TyreSafe as a supporter. This partnership will deliver engaging, science-based tyre safety education to new audiences.
As initiatives focus on eyesight for older drivers, TyreSafe is reminding motorists that tyres are critical to vehicle safety, especially for those with reduced reaction times. Regular checks on tread depth, pressure, and condition can make all the difference.
According to the RAC, in 2024, nearly 9,000 drivers had points added to their licences for defective tyres—a 44% increase from 2023. Tyre maintenance isn’t just a safety measure—it’s the law. Make sure your tyres are road-ready before you hit the road!
